Biolac Starter 100 is a Stage 1 marsupial milk replacer for joeys that have stabilised after coming into care. It is formulated to support steady growth during the early milk dependent period and is one of the most widely used hand rearing formulas in Australian wildlife care, valued for its versatility across species.

Suitable for macropods (kangaroos and wallabies) from furless through to the velveted stage, wombats from 300g to 1.8kg, koalas during early stage rearing, and possums and gliders for their entire milk dependent period. Possums and gliders remain on Starter 100 through to weaning and do not progress to Stage 2 or Stage 3.

Starter 100 replaces the former Biolac M100. The formula is unchanged; only the name and packaging have been updated.

Starter 100 is mixed at 16g of powder per 100ml of warm water. Feed at 13% of body weight per day, divided into 6 feeds. Weigh your joey regularly and adjust volumes as they grow.

Preparation: Mix powder into a smooth paste with a small amount of pre-boiled warm water first, then add remaining water. Warm in a water bath to ~32–35°C before feeding. Do not microwave. Refrigerate unused formula and use within 24 hours.
