Biolac Flying Fox Formula is a complete milk replacer specially formulated for orphaned and rescued flying foxes and bats. Based on extensive research of grey headed flying foxes, this concentrated formula provides essential nutrients for healthy growth and development from birth through weaning.

Biolac Flying Fox Milk is a complete milk replacer formulated for infant flying foxes and bats. It provides essential nutrients for healthy bone development and growth through fully digestible carbohydrates, proteins and lipids, along with an enhanced vitamin and mineral profile. Flying Fox Milk is used for standard rearing of older, robust pups through to weaning onto fruit.

Suitable for flying foxes and megabats (healthy infants) and microbats (stable young pups). For very young pups, compromised animals, or any flying fox new to care, use Biolac Flying Fox Plus, which contains added GOS for gut health support. Unlike marsupials, flying foxes use a single formula throughout their milk-dependent life with no need to transition between stages.

Flying Fox Feeding Guide

Biolac Flying Fox formula is mixed at 14g of powder made up to 70ml of warm water. Feed at 20–25% of body weight per day, divided into 4–5 feeds depending on age and development. Weigh your pup regularly and adjust volumes as they grow. Younger pups and smaller species should be fed at the higher end of the range (25%), while older pups approaching self-feeding can be fed at the lower end (20%).

Preparation: Mix powder into a smooth paste with a small amount of pre-boiled warm water first, then add remaining water to reach the target volume. Warm in a water bath to ~32–35°C before feeding. Do not microwave. Refrigerate unused formula and use within 24 hours.
